It's been awhile

I know, I have been slacking. S-O-S going on here. Still alone and still tired of it. Tired of Jackson metro area, tired of Mississippi, tired of not having money. Anybody want to trade lives?

Went and visited the family this past weekend and ended up getting sick, throwing up all morning.

Just wanted to let you (noone) know that I am still here.

Truck Pics

Finally took some pics, I think it looks DAMN good. Guess it should though, it's basically a new nose and all. They also installed some driving lights, which were not factory. I debating on whether or not to put a bug deflector back on or not. What do you think? I kinda like it without.

Should Kyle stay or go?

It has been debated as to whether Kyle Busch and Dale Jr should go ahead and switch rides before the end of the season. That's if Kyle Busch signs with DEI. After watching the post race interviews, I don't think Kyle will make it the whole year, he seems to be a very bitter person right know. I like Kyle and think he is very talented and (and still hate that he is leaving HMS) one of the best drivers on the track, but it may be better for him and Hendrick if they part ways now.

I saw Transformers tonight. OMG!!! It was soooo AWSOME! That was absolutely one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. It is definately in my top 5. It was action packed with some comedy.

I was so excited when I heard this movie was coming out because Transformers was my cartoon. I think they did a great job with the story. I can't wait to see this movie again.

The sci-fi saga debuted with $67.6 million in ticket sales in its first weekend, according to studio estimates Sunday. That gave it $152.5 million since opening with preview screenings Monday night.

I would definately recommend this for anyone to see.

NASCAR Craftsman Truck series driver Aaron Fike arrested on drug possession charges. This is a disturbing trend that started with Shane Hmiel two years ago and continued this year with Tyler Walker and now Fike. This is not something that we are use to seeing in NASCAR. These young drivers are/were trying to prove themselves while dealing with a lot of pressure. And unfortunately sometimes young people resort to drugs. NASCAR needs to get a handle on this.
Jamie McMurray won the Pepsi 400 on Saturday night at Daytona. He had one of the best cars all night and very much deserved the win. I'm happy for Jamie but hate that Rousch Racing and Ford got the win. Jamie was definatley pushed by Jeff Gordon to the lead multiple times in the last 10 laps. Jeff appeared to run most of the race at the top of track, so that's why I figured he wasn't helping Busch who was running the bottom, in the closing laps, when he definately had chances to move down. Of course Kyle, just as confused as I was that none of his teammates were willing to help him, sees the writing on the wall. I hate it for Kyle, but that's probably what he will have to deal with the rest of the year.

Oh well.....

I am a little bummed! I thought I was getting my truck back yesterday, but two parts didn't come in so they it looks like sometime Monday. I was really looking forward to getting it back. I guess that I should be happy that I am getting it period. There was a chance that it was going to be totaled, so I shouldn't be complaining. I will be posting pics as soon as I get it back.

More Truck Pics

Took these pics at the body shop.

Found out on Friday that they ARE going to
repair my truck. It was real close to getting totaled.
I don't think I have ever wanted it back as bad as
I do now.

Hell-of-a Week

This has been a nightmare. I never imagined I would have to do all the work dealing with both my insurance company and the other persons. Apparently my agent's job was done once he gave me the number to the claim department. I finally got in touch with the assigned insurance agent a day and half later. He, at this time, called the other insurance company to see if the other party had filed a claim. THEY HAD NOT! So, he told me that I had to call the other insurance company and file a claim to get my truck fixed. WTF!!!! DO I HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING?!?! So, I did. A couple hours later an adjustor for the other insurance company called and for the, seemed like, 100th time I had to give all info on the accident. Another day later, she finally called me back. Ok, apparently the girl's day is not the owner, but the listed driver. The owner and policy holder is his fiancee and they are in Ireland. GREAT! This is sooooo much fun!

DAMNNNIIIIIIIIIITTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a little problem on my way home from work today. I was driving up Old Fannin in the right lane, just past Kroger coming up on the apartments when a car came out of nowhere trying to pull into the apartments.

No time! I nailed them!

Gustafson plans to stay at Hendrick Motorsports

Busch may be leaving Hendrick at the end of this season, but crew chief Alan Gustafson said he wants to stay loyal to team owner Rick Hendrick, no matter what that may entail. "I expect to be a crew chief at Hendrick Motorsports, but I will make the statement that I will be at Hendrick Motorsports next year regardless," Gustafson said Friday at Michigan International Speedway. "I'd rather sweep floors for Rick Hendrick than be a crew chief for someone else."

Gustafson knows he would be a highly sought-after crew chief if he were to consider leaving the company but said his personal ties to Hendrick will keep him at HMS. "Rick, quite frankly, is the classiest guy in this garage," he said. "He's been great to me from day one when I started there eight years ago. "This sport's going to come and go, things are going to happen, but to have a personal relationship with a grand man like that is very important to me. And I'm going to be loyal to him; he's been loyal to me." (SceneDaily.com)

I really hope that Alan DOES stay at HMS, I think he is one the best young crew cheifs out there and would be an asset to Dale Jr., or even Casey Mears for that matter.

Kyle very popular

It appears that Kyle Busch will have his choice of ride for next year. Robert Yates Racing has informed Kyle's agent that he is interested in talking to him about driving a RYR Ford next season. I am still torn by this, on one hand I am excited to see Dale Jr joining Hendrick, but I DID NOT want to see Kyle leave.

For those of you that don't know how NASCAR works, each team owner can only have a total of 4 teams, Hendrick was already at 4, therefore he had to get rid of one driver to make room for Dale Jr.

He did it!

All the rumors were true, Dale Jr is going to Hendrick MotorSports. Announced via live on TV, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will drive for Hendrick Motorsports starting in 2008. Dale Jr. started the press conference with a short speech/explanation, then introduced his new team owner Rick Hendrick and unveiled the Hendrick Motorsports logo. Dale Jr seemed to be smiling a lot, who could blame him, he just signed with the best team in NASCAR.

How can he drive for Hendrick who has 4 drivers already, you ask. Hendrick and Kyle Busch have been working on a contract extension for months, but all of a sudden Busch was talking to other teams and realized his value, Hendrick said conversations with Busch led both to realize it would be better for Busch to look at his other opportunities and part ways, but that Busch would run the #5 Chevy for the remainder of the season.

As for a car number and sponsor for Dale Earnhardt Jr., Hendrick said none of that has been finalized as of yet. Dale Jr. mentioned he would like to keep the #8 and would talk to DEI about acquiring the number. Hendrick said he would be open to swapping the #5 for the #8, if DEI is interested. Dale Jr said he is looking for a number and car design that would look 'cool'. Asked about crew members and current crew chief Tony Eury Jr., Dale Jr. said it would have to be discussed down the road. The deal is a five-year deal 2008-2012

Is he really gonna do it?

Jr Motorsports has announced a news conference for 10:00 am Wednesday morning. It is rumored that he will announce who he will be driving for in 2008. According to many notable NASCAR sources, Jr will be driving the #5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy. What will happen to Kyle Busch you ask, those same sources say that he will drive the #8 DEI Chevy next year. They also say Kyle has asked to be realeased from his contract. It is also possible that they may switch before the year is out. I have mixed emotions concerning this. I would love to see Dale Jr at HMS, just to piss off the Earnhardt fans, but not at the expense of Kyle. Oh well, I guess we will see, tune in to SPEED tomorrow.

Initial post

Hi all! I have decided to start posting my random thoughts and ramblings. I will talk about everything from my house to my friends, to my favorite sports teams, to just about anything that I think may be interesting. There may be days that I don't post, but there may be days that I have multiple post. That damned 2nd job!
