Shire is the sister of director and producer Francis Ford Coppola and the niece of composer and conductor Anton Coppola. She was married to composer David Shire, with whom she had a son, Matthew Orlando Shire. She has two other sons, actors/musicians Jason Schwartzman and Robert Carmine, from her second marriage to the late producer Jack Schwartzman.

Hank Albert Azaria 44 (born April 25, 1964) is an American film and television actor, director, comedian and voice artist. The son of a Columbia Pictures publicist and a close friend of Oliver Platt, he is most famous for his long-running career as one of the principal voice actors on the animated television series The Simpsons. He performs the voices of Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum, Apu Nahasapeemapetilon and numerous other characters.

Renée Kathleen Zellweger 39 (born April 25, 1969) is an Academy Award-, BAFTA-, SAG Award-, and Golden Globe-winning American actress, singer, dancer, and performer who has established herself as one of the highest-paid female Hollywood actors in recent years. She is also known as the former wife of country musician Kenny Chesney. The couple were briefly married in 2005 before an annulment seven months later.

Jason Michael Lee 38 (born April 25, 1970) is an American actor and professional skateboarder. Lee is best known for his roles in the films of director Kevin Smith and the television show My Name is Earl. Lee was a prominent professional skateboarder in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Carol Creighton Burnett 75 (born April 26, 1933) is an American Emmy Award-winning actress, comedian, singer, dancer and writer. Burnett started her career in New York. After becoming a hit on Broadway, she debuted on television. After successful appearances on The Garry Moore Show, Carol moved to Los Angeles and began an eleven-year run on the highly acclaimed The Carol Burnett Show which was aired on CBS television from 1967 to 1978. With roots in vaudeville, The Carol Burnett Show was a variety show combining comedy sketches, song, and dance. The comedy sketches ranged from movie parodies to character pieces which featured the many talents of Burnett herself who created and played several well-known and distinctive characters.

Jet Li 45 (Simplified Chinese: 李连杰; Traditional Chinese: 李連杰; pinyin: Lǐ Liánjié; born April 26, 1963) is a Chinese martial artist, actor, Wushu champion, and international film star. After three years of intensive training, Li won his first national championship for the Beijing Wushu Team. After retiring at age 17, he went on to win great acclaim in China as an actor making his debut with the film Shaolin Temple (1982). He went on to star in many critically acclaimed martial arts epic films, most notably the Once Upon a Time in China series, in which he portrayed folk hero Wong Fei Hung. His first role in a Hollywood film was as a villain in Lethal Weapon 4 (1998), but his first Hollywood film leading role was in Romeo Must Die (2000). He has gone on to star in many Hollywood action films, most recently starring beside Jackie Chan in The Forbidden Kingdom (2008).

Marianne Raigipcien Jean-Baptiste 41 (born 26 April 1967) is an Academy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated English actress. Jean-Baptiste currently stars on the American television series Without a Trace as FBI agent Vivian Johnson, who has a serious heart disease and a young son to raise while still doing her demanding law enforcement work.

Thomas John Patrick Welling 31 (born April 26, 1977) is an American actor, director, and former male fashion model, most famous for playing Clark Kent on the current television series Smallville. Other well-known film roles include Charlie Baker in Cheaper by the Dozen and Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and Nick Castle in the 2005 remake of The Fog.

He is best-known for his role as Tony Randall's sloppy roommate, Oscar Madison, in The Odd Couple in the 1970s, and for his starring role in Quincy, M.E., in the 1970s and 1980s. He attended Carnegie Mellon University and graduated in 1948.

Sheena Easton 49 (born Sheena Shirley Orr on April 27, 1959) is a Scottish pop singer and theatre and television actress. Sheena became famous for being the focus of an episode of the United Kingdom television programme The Big Time, a 1980 reality TV series created by Esther Rantzen which recorded her attempts to gain a record contract and got her a deal with EMI.

William Peter Moseley 21 (born April 27, 1987) is an English actor. He is best known for starring as Peter Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia film series. Previously, he played a small role as Forrester in a 2002 television version of Goodbye, Mr. Chips.

Michael Francis Moore 54 (born April 23, 1954) is an Academy Award-winning American filmmaker, author, and liberal political commentator. He is the director and producer of Fahrenheit 9/11, Sicko, and Bowling for Columbine, three of the top five highest-grossing documentaries of all time. He has also written and starred in the TV shows TV Nation and The Awful Truth, both of which continue his trademark style of presenting serious documentaries in humorous ways.

Moore is a self-described liberal who has criticized globalization, large corporations, gun ownership, the Iraq War, U.S. President George W. Bush and the American health care system in his written and cinematic works. In 2005 Time magazine named him one of the world's 100 most influential people.

Jan Hooks 51 (born April 23, 1957) is an American actress and comedian best known for her work on NBC's Saturday Night Live (SNL), on which she appeared from 1986 to 1991.

Craig Eric Sheffer 48 (born April 23, 1960) is an American film and television actor. Sheffer was first seen on a nationwide basis on the television circuit. He played Ian Hayden on the ABC daytime soap opera One Life to Live, and was cast as the teenage son of Michael Goodwin and Leigh Taylor-Young on the 1983 prime time serial The Hamptons. He is perhaps best known for starring in his own produced television sitcom show entitled George Lopez.

Melina Eleni Kanakaredes 41 (born April 23, 1967) is a Daytime Emmy-nominated American actress, most widely known for two starring roles on U.S. prime-time television: playing Det. Stella Bonasera on CSI: NY and earlier, playing Dr. Sydney Hansen on Providence.

Scott Hamilton Bairstow 38 (April 23, 1970) was born in Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada to Douglas and Diane Bairstow, professional classical musicians. He is an actor best known for his roles as "Newt Call" on the Lonesome Dove series in Canada and as "Ned Grayson" on the American television drama series, Party of Five. In May 2003, Bairstow was charged in Everett, Washington with second degree child rape for allegedly having had sex with a 12-year-old girl, who is related to Bairstow's ex-wife, and later asking her to keep quiet about it. In December 2003, he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge -- second degree assault. Bairstow entered an Alford plea, under which he maintained his innocence but conceded that he would likely be convicted by a jury if the case went to trial. He was sentenced to four months in jail, one year community supervision, and was required to undergo a sexual deviancy evaluation. He was also ordered to have no contact with the girl for 10 years and to pay for any counseling she requires.

Barry Watson 34 (born April 23, 1974 in Traverse City, Michigan) is an American actor, best known for his roles of Matt Camden on 7th Heaven, Brian Davis in What About Brian and Todd in Samantha Who?. Watson was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in May 2002, and went on hiatus from 7th Heaven while he underwent treatment. Richard Donner 77 (born April 24, 1930) is an American film director, and also a film producer through the production company, The Donners' Company, which he and his wife, producer Lauren Shuler Donner, own. Although known for The Omen and the Lethal Weapon films, he is most famous for the hailed creation of the first modern superhero film, Superman, starring Christopher Reeve. The influence of this film eventually helped establish the fantasy genre as a respected film genre.

Shirley MacLaine 74 (born April 24, 1934) is an Academy Award-winning American film and theatre actress, well-known not only for her acting, but for her devotion to her belief in reincarnation and extraterrestrials. She is also the writer of a large number of autobiographical works, many dealing with her new age beliefs, such as solipsism, as well as her Hollywood career. She is the older sister of Warren Beatty.

Djimon Gaston Hounsou 44 (born April 24, 1964) is a two-time Academy Award-nominated Beninois actor, dancer and fashion model.

Herman Marion Sadler III 39 (born April 24, 1969) is a race car driver/announcer and professional wrestling promoter from Emporia, Virginia. He also an advocate for autism, as his daughter, Hailie Dru, was diagnosed with the disorder in 2001. His brother Elliott Sadler is also a NASCAR driver.

Larry Wayne "Chipper" Jones, Jr. 36 (born April 24, 1972, in DeLand, Florida), is an American Major League baseball player.

Eric Salter Balfour 31 (born April 24, 1977) is an American film and television actor. He also is the lead singer of the band Born As Ghosts, formerly known as Fredalba.

Kelly Brianne Clarkson 26 (born April 24, 1982) is an American pop rock singer, songwriter, and occasional actress. Clarkson made her debut under RCA Records after she won the highly publicized first season of the television series American Idol in 2002. She was originally marketed as a pop musician with her debut album Thankful (2003).

Tyson Jay Ritter 24 (born April 24, 1984) is the lead vocalist and bass guitarist of The All American Rejects. Tyson Ritter lived in Stillwater, Oklahoma for most of his life. Being an AC/DC fan, Tyson loved rock music. Tyson met up with Nick Wheeler at a party, where he falsely informed Nick he could play bass in order to join Nick's current band. Tyson quickly picked up bass, and Nick and Tyson eventually formed their own band.

Ritter is also a model and has appeared in Glamour Magazine as well as in various advertisements and fashion shows. He currently lives in Destin, Florida and is dating model Kim Smith.

Edward Albert Heimberger (April 22, 1906 – May 26, 2005) was a popular Oscar and Emmy Award-nominated American stage, film, character actor, gardener, humanitarian activist, and World War II hero. In an acting career that spanned nearly seven decades, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1954 for his performance in Roman Holiday and again in 1973 for The Heartbreak Kid. Among his other well-known roles are Bing Edwards in the Brother Rat films, Oliver Wendell Douglas in the popular 1960s television situation comedy Green Acres, and Frank MacBride on the 1970s crime drama Switch. He also had a recurring role as Carlton Travis on Falcon Crest, opposite Jane Wyman.

Aaron Spelling (April 22, 1923 – June 23, 2006) was an American film and television producer. As of 2007, Spelling holds the record for most prolific television producer, with 218 producer and executive producer credits. Spelling worked in some capacity on almost 200 productions beginning with the Zane Grey Theatre in 1956. His most recognizable contributions to television include Beverly Hills 90210 and its adult spin-off Melrose Place with Heather Locklear, Starsky and Hutch, Family, Hotel, The Rookies, Charlie's Angels, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Vega$, Hart to Hart, Dynasty, The Colbys, T.J. Hooker, Nightingales, Kindred: The Embraced, 7th Heaven, Charmed, Burke's Law, Honey West, The Mod Squad, and S.W.A.T.. His company also co-produced the David Lynch series Twin Peaks (although Spelling himself was not directly involved in its production). For all his golden touches, he also had a miss or two, most notable among them was The San Pedro Beach Bums in 1977. 1926 Charlotte Rae 82 is an American actress and singer known for her portrayal of Edna Garrett in the sitcoms Diff'rent Strokes and The Facts of Life, in which she appeared from 1979 until 1986. She received a Best Actress Emmy Nomination in a comedy in 1982. She also appeared in two Facts of Life television movies, one in 1982, and the second one, a reunion film, in 2001.

Let's try doing this blog thingy again. I will try and update daily the goings on in my life (maybe), noteable celebrity birthdays, and other facts of that particular day. So let's start by saying I am looking forward to this weekend. I have to work tonight, but I am off Friday night and Saturday. My parents and neice and nephew are coming up Saturday to go to my company picnic. Looking forward to seeing them. Hopefully I will also be off at LnT on Sunday, so I can enjoy my weekend.
